In an earlier post on making money online I argued that the best way to get started was with a free blogging service such as Blogger or Wordpress.com and I promised to put my money where my mouth is and demonstrate how it is done.

I haven’t done any major research into keywords and finding a profitable niche, but I did choose something I can write about - stuff I have bought for myself or someone else, and stuff that I want. I have started to monetise it already with Adsense and some affiliate scripts, but I didn’t need to worry about this just yet because without any significant content or targetted traffic it just makes the site look pretty. (I will explain what these are in later posts)

In terms of time it took me about two hours to put together and to be honest I am quite pleased withthe results. Now all I have to do is start building some inbound links - I had better read ny excellent link building guide. ; )

I almost forgot the site is called “The Best Kit Money Can Buy“, which sounded quite good at the time, but now I think it is a bit naff.
