There is a lot of interest in Squidoo and Zimbio in the webmaster community and many people have been busy, including myself creating lenses and wiki magazines - what Squidoo and Zimbio call pages/sites.  The reason webmasters are doing this is because of they provide some backlinks to your site and may provide traffic.  Additionally, some people are actually making money out of them.  Squidoo for example has a revnue share scheme where it redistributes Asense income to lensmasters (page authors) or to charity, you can also put your own affilaite links on the pages you create.  The great thing is they only take a few minutes to create.  Here are some examples:
